You would think with a name like Cat Ba, the place would be filled with kitties! But in Cat Ba town itself, we unfortunately did not spot any kitties at all. Still, the town was a lovely place to spend the day, kitties or no kitties.
Next day we took a long jungle trek in Cat Ba Island’s national park, and stopped in Hien Hao village for lunch. I guess everyone in Hien Hao is a proper cat lover, because we spotted kitties at almost every house! Below are some of the highlights of our Hien Hao kitty spotting:

Here he is, the first kitty we spotted on Cat Ba. He looks like a bit of a derp, but I guess he was spotted in the middle of licking himself.

Here he is, still angry about that dog that was sniffing at him. Look at that angry face!
Can you spot Cat Ba kitty #3?
Cat Ba kitty 3 spotted! A very pretty tortoise shell doing her best catloaf.
Of course you can spot Cat Ba kitty #4. This kitty actually became best friends with us the moment she spotted us. She head-butted me a lot and stuck with us all through lunch.
Here is Cat Ba kitty 4 requesting another bite of lunch. But it wasn’t just the food; this kitty seriously loved love!

Here she is, a pretty calico resting on a warm brick wall – Cat Ba kitty 5 spotted!
Can you spot Cat Ba kitty #6?
Cat Ba kitty 6 had no problems with her dog. In fact, she was in the middle of an intense lick-fest when we spotted her.

Cat Ba kitty 7, our last kitty from Cat Ba, was a little difficult to spot. This little black kitty was having a nice nap with her little footies all stretched out! Don’t you just want to tickle that little puddy paw?
