Sue is named after Sue Storm, aka The Invisible Woman. She is neither invisible nor a woman, but when the kittens were born we thought she might be the only female in a group of four, immediately calling to mind The Fantastic Four. How can you tell Sue is female? Because she is a calico cat — a cat with white, orange, and black colouring. Black and orange cat colours are linked to the X gene, and since only females have two X genes, only female cats can have the two colours together.
- Here’s Sue in the family box at two weeks old.
- Sue loves to eat — she was the first one to eat kibble out of a dish. Here’s her fat belly when she was only two weeks old.
- Sue has a very sweet little face and she is always interested in what is going on around her; here she is at four weeks.
- Sue is a very ambitious kitty — she was the first one to climb up onto our Kitten Cam computer and shortly afterwards, the first one to climb out of Kitten Fun Land. Here she surveys her surroundings, perhaps daring her sisters to follow her.
